ಬಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅಕ್ಕಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ - Free for Women
ಎರಡನೆಯ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಈ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕರು ಎನ್ನುವ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪೋಲೀಸರು ತಂದು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಕಂಕುಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಣಗಿದ ಪಿಳ್ಳೆಯೊಂದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು, ಸಿಂಬಳ ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ತಪ್ಪು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಮಗುವೊಂದನ್ನು ದರದರ ಎಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅಳುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದು ನಿಂತಳು ತಾಯಿ. ಗಂಡನನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲು ತಾಕೀತು ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಅದೇ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಬಂದು ನಿಂತರು. ಹಿಂದಿನ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಅವನು ಮದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಂದೆದ್ದಿದ್ದ ಎನ್ನುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಮಾನವೇ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಸಿಟ್ಟು ನೆತ್ತಿಗೇರಿತು. “ಸಾಕಲು ಯೋಗ್ಯತೆ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದ್ಯಾಕೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರ? ಏನಮ್ಮ ನಿನಗೆ ನಾಚಿಕೆ ಆಗಲ್ಲ್ವಾ?” ಅಂತ ಜೋರು ದನಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಗೊಳೋ ಅಂತ ಅವಳ ದನಿ ನನ್ನದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ದುಪ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಯ್ತು. “ನಾಚಿಕೆ ಏನ್ ಮೇಡಂ ಜೀವನಾನೇ ಸಾಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ದಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಡಿ ನೀವು ಇವನನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಎಲ್ಲಾದರು ಹೋಗಿ, ದುಡ್ಕೊಂಡು ತಿನ್ನ್ಕೋತೀನಿ” ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾ ಅಳು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿದಳು. ಆರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮದುವೆಯಾದವಳ ಗಂಡ ಕುಡುಕ. ಎರಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗಿತ್ತು ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತಿದ್ದ. “ಗಂಡು ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೆಂಗೆ ಬಾಳ್ವೆ ಮಾಡೋದು ಮೇಡಂ” ಎಂದಳು. ಅದಕ್ಕೇ ಹೀಗೆ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವನನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಳು. “ ಇವನಿಗೆ ಅವರಪ್ಪ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರೋ ಮನೆ ಇದೆ ಮೇಡಂ. ನೀನು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಮನೆಯ

ReplyDeleteಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಿತ್ತು.

ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing up the issue of harassment at work place in a very clear manner. As you rightly pointed out the definition of workplace is expanded. With the current situation of work from home it is a need for people to understand the same. The lecture is also a lesson to people like us, who may take casual remarks either by us or by other colleagues as words of encouragement, friendly and making it look very cordial. But the underlying meaning might be different. This info should reach all. Much appreciate the effort.
